Hiking in the Dolomites Via Ferrate

The varieties of mountaineering opportunities in the Dolomites are seemingly endless. The soaring peaks, blue-green tarns, ravishing views, snow capped mountains, and blue skies fill the scene. However, a dreadful experience of falling rocks scared the hell out of me. It is fortunate that everything turned out well. Looking back it was a gorgeous time we spent in a small village and its surrounds in the north of Italy at the turn of August and September 2007. Sorry for not giving a description of particular places, but most names have slipped my mind.
